SalaryAn administrative assistant is required for a 1-year temporary position for a university-based Surgical Practice starting March 25, 2024 to cover a maternity leave. This is a single surgeon otolaryngology specialist practice serving a complex pediatric population of children with ear, nose and throat diseases at the Stollery Children’s Hospital (University of Alberta).
Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to booking patients for clinic and surgery appointments, coordinating and following up on laboratory and imaging tests, communicating with families over telephone/email, record keeping and filing, coordinating meetings, managing the surgeon’s academic, clinical and research schedules.
Qualification and Attributes:
Experience working in a Medical Office is preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential. Strong organization and public relation skills are required. Must be comfortable working with electronic medical records and computers. Ability to multi-task and triage tasks according to urgency is also essential.
Salary and Benefits:
$28 hourly

32 hours per week, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
All statutory holidays off.
