Canada's Medical Clinic, a family medicine clinic, is seeking a professional and approachable Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our dynamic team in Windermere, Edmonton. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and focus on administrative tasks.
Our clinic services the geographic area of Edmonton and its surrounding communities. We are open to training the right candidate for all office specific MOA procedures and tasks.
Responsibilities:
May include but not limited to:
- Scanning documents and prepping papers for the next work day for the nursing staff
- Daily pulls/uploads of patient data within the Alberta Netcare portal and Heathquest EMR.
- Customer care duties such as bookings, referrals, and follow-ups.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism, respect, confidentiality and engagement wheninteracting with patients
- Administrative duties such as electronically indexing/filing patient charts.
- Assisting with patient bookings via referrals and working with our Intake Coordinator team to ensure our schedule is being maintained.
Requirements:
- Respectful team player with above average communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to actively participate in, promote, and lead change.
- Current MOA certification or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of MOA experience in a clinic/hospital setting is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Netcare and use of HealthQuest an asset but can be taught.
- Highly professional, engaged, and self-motivated team player focused on provision of an excellent level of customer service.
