About Us:
The Interpretive Guides Association (IGA) is a leading organization dedicated to promoting excellence in interpretive guiding. We empower guides to inspire connections between people and nature. As we continue to expand our programs and services, we're seeking a motivated Member Services Coordinator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Member Communications:
- Handling emails, member inquiries, and communications
- Building strong relationships with corporate members
- Assisting with events and registrations
2. Courses & Events:
- Setting up courses and creating new Professional Development events
- Liaising with instructors, suppliers, and students
- Assisting with Interpreter Exams and homework
3. Social Media & Advertising:
- Managing social media presence and promoting programs
- Creating eye-catching Canva posters for various platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), Proficient in using Google Office suite
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to thrive both independently and as part of a team
- Quick thinking, adept problem-solving skills and attention to detail are key
- Engaging personality with a knack for fostering positivity and enthusiasm
- Comfortable with occasional long workdays during peak periods
- Resides in the Bow Valley area, understanding that Canmore is the main base for meetings, courses and other duties.
- Proficient in using Zoom for virtual meetings
- Design and creative writing skills an asset
- Individuals must have a good quality laptop, cell phone, and home office or place to work from
- Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building efforts

Position Details:
Starting Date: April 2, 2024
Rate of Pay: $27/hour to start, with the potential for a raise after a 6-month review.
Weekly Hours: This contract is based on working 32 hours a week but be prepared to work up to 40 hours during our busy seasons (April, May, June, October, November, and February) and as few as 8 hours a week during our slower periods (typically July, August, and December).
