The Municipality is currently seeking Full time Seasonal By-Law Enforcement Officers (40 hours a week) to assist staff in the enforcement of parking, nuisances, and other municipal by-laws.
Schedules will include most weekends and holidays, from May 1 to Labour Day 2024.
Reporting directly to the Manager of By-Law Enforcement, the By-Law Enforcement Officers will be responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws mainly in Port Stanley but may be assigned to other areas within the Municipality.
Desired qualifications:
- Post Secondary Law Enforcement and/or Security Training
- Record keeping
- G2 drivers license
- Physically fit
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently
- Conduct daily patrols of assigned areas by vehicle and on foot
- Maintain a daily journal (notebook) of daily activities
- Assist the Manager of By-Law Enforcement with other By-law duties as required
- Investigate, enforce and process parking by-law infractions
The 2024 Rate of Pay is $20.62-$24.55.
