Responsibilities:

As a Parking Enforcement Officer for Brantford, you'll:

• Enforce parking restrictions on public and private properties in the city, ensuring compliance with municipal parking by-laws.
• Conduct patrols in assigned areas, issuing infraction notices when necessary.
• Record and report defective traffic control devices, missing, and damaged signage.
• Attend court to present evidence as required, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
• Respond promptly to complaints and calls for service, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Parking Enforcement supervisor, contributing to the overall safety and orderliness of the city.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• An Ontario secondary school diploma, demonstrating your educational foundation.
• Ideally, 2 years of community college education in Law and Security or a related field, showcasing your commitment to excellence.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in parking and/or enforcement, highlighting your expertise in the field.
• A valid Class G Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract, ensuring you can fulfill the requirements of the role.
• Knowledge of municipal parking by-laws, demonstrating your understanding of local regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to interact tactfully and helpfully with the public.
• Strong customer service and decision-making abilities, enabling you to handle various situations with professionalism.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be on-call when needed.
• A police clearance, underscoring your integrity and suitability for the position.

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
