Job Description
Night Front Desk Agent
The Front Desk Agent provides our guests with professional and superior guest service while maintaining and maximizing the highest occupancy levels and room rates. To aid in the daily operation of the Front Office in a safe and healthy manner and to participate in efficient pre-arrival, arrival and departure tasks. To assist in resolving guest concerns. Cooperate and communicate with other colleagues in the Front Office and other departments. Applicant must be self directed, enthusiastic and courteous.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to shift to receive pass on information, check email, review hotel activity.
- Completing Night Audit and Over Night duties
- Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service
- Handle guest complaints and comments in a professional manner and provide the follow up required to co-workers and leaders.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, ergonomically friendly, effective recycling, healthy and safe work environment.
- To be aware and informed of rate/sell levels and seasons, contracted rates, packages and promotions.
- Pre-arrival duties including blocking rooms with respect to special requests, FPC members, and large room types.
- Arrival duties including friendly and efficient registration of guests by adhering to Hotel policies and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle room keys for in house guests, ensuring that the Company’s security procedures and adhered to
- Departure duties including friendly and efficient checkout of guest as well as expressing desire for return business.
- Answering guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Count and balance your audit and cash float at the end of each shift.
- Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and colleagues by maintaining knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures; as well as Fire Panel /Evacuation procedures.
- Attend Front Office communication meetings.
- Participate in efficient pre-arrival, arrival, departure and overall experience for all guests
- Responsible for cash float
Qualifications
- Service focused personality is essential;
- Previous Front Desk experience an asset
- Must be willing to work shift work including overnight shifts
- Must be personable and presentable
- Diploma or Degree in hospitality management is an asset
