Office Clerk/Receptionist
Full Time Position – Day Shift (8am – 4:30pm)
The Opportunity
Home Hardware is looking for an Office Clerk/Receptionist on the Day Shift. As an Office Clerk/Receptionist, you are responsible for greeting visitors, providing front desk and administrative support, and completing various clerical duties such as typing, filing and the completion of reports, correspondence, ASN’s, purchase orders and other documentation.
Reporting to the Office Services Supervisor/HR Support, you will:
Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information or referring inquiries.
Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access.
Process and/or maintain various production and non-production documents including ASN’s, special orders, purchase orders, maintenance work orders, staff purchases and quality auditing documents.
Financial activities for Debert Operations including month-end reporting, processing staff purchase payments, point of sale and counting and balancing daily cafeteria sales and staff purchase sales.
Perform other office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years’ experience in an office environment.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook). Advanced analytical functions in Excel to conduct data analysis.
Knowledge of current Home Hardware systems including Oracle and WMS.
Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure.
Team oriented and able to interact with multiple departments.
Willingness to take on new tasks and assignments when required.
Ability to work independently and accept responsibility with limited supervision.
Good attendance record is a requirement.
Great attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
