Our expectations:
Under the direction of the Central Delivery Manager, the Central Delivery Supervisor is accountable for supervising and leading a high performing team of Coordinators supporting the RONA Home Delivery program. The Central Delivery Supervisor executes daily and weekly plans to meet and exceed customers service requirements to stores, DC (Distribution Center) Operations and Final Mile Carriers. The Central Delivery Supervisor is responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of a team of up to 15 employees.
*Location: Rocky View Distribution Center
*Shift: Day shift - Monday to Friday
- Occasional evenings and/or weekends could be required, as the team the candidate will supervise will be spread across a 7 days schedule.
- Monitor Team Member performance ensuring Coordinators are executing assigned tasks accurately and timely
- Liaison with Stores, Transportation, DC (Distribution Center) Operations and Coordinators to ensure process compliance / execution
- Mentor and build relationships with team
- Coaches, counsels and trains Coordinators to ensure competence, as well as prepare them for future opportunities
- Maintain and compile daily / weekly reporting
- Work collaboratively with relevant teams to achieve superior customer service
- Maintain a high level of trusts with carriers and stores to make quick decisions to best service the customer
- Set Coordinators up for success; achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance, and budget targets.
- Identify and assist in implementing process improvements
- Promote safety in the work environment and ensure all safety rules are followed
- Evaluate staffing needs to meet Daily, Weekly and Monthly volumes
- Shift flexibility. Able to work variable shifts, start times, and work additional hours as needed
- Perform other duties as required
- 1-3 year prior supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
- Post-secondary education an asset
- Previous experience and familiarity with Home Delivery program an asset
- Understanding of fulfillment/distribution center/warehouse processes and flow an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Adapts to change quickly and easily with a positive outlook on process enhancements
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Must be proficient and experienced with MS Excel, Word, and Office Suite
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and team building skills
- Experience creating and maintaining a Safety-first culture
