Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk

- Assist with patient scheduling and appointment reminders

- Obtain and record patient medical history and relevant information

- Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as colour vision, axial lenght, OPTOS and intraocular pressure

- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for optometrist use

- Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions

- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance

- Assist with frame selection

- Provide support in retail sales of eyewear and accessories

- Maintain electronic medical records accurately and securely

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in an optometric or medical office setting preferred

- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry or ophthalmology preferred

- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems

- Ability to provide excellent patient care with a focus on customer service

- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members

- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 35 per week
