Optometric Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrists with patient care, including taking medical history and performing preliminary tests
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Perform diagnostic tests as directed by the optometrist
- Assist with frame selection and dispensing of eyeglasses if needed as well as contact lenses
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accuracy of patient information

Experience:
- Previous experience working in an optometric or medical office preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and optical procedures
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday during regular business hours and possibly some weekends.
