RESPONSIBILITIES
- Front desk and reception duties including, but not limited to: greeting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, answering and triaging phone calls, monitoring patient flow, processing payments, insurance verification, maintaining our recall system, as well as communicating with doctors, other team members and patients
- Conducting preliminary diagnostic testing prior to the eye exam with the optometrist
- Maintaining records and ensure patient privacy
- Assisting with retail sales of contact lenses
EXPERIENCE
- Customer service role is preferred
- MUST have OHIP and private insurance experience
-MUST have front desk operations in a medical office setting
-MUST have optometric experience along with pre testing experience - Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is beneficial
-You MUST have Optometric or Ophthalmology background!!!!
As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the optometry office. This position requires a combination of retail sales skills, front desk management, and patient care.
