Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused individual to join our team as an Optometric Assistant. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our optometry practice. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Perform preliminary tests, such as autorefraction, non-contact tonometry, and Optos retinal imaging
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Assist the optometrist during eye exams and procedures
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or front desk role preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
