We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Optometric Assistant to join our team. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Initially part-time (20-28 hrs.) with the potential to transition to full-time in the near future. Your responsibilities will include but, are not limited to:
- Greeting patients and providing excellent customer service.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and maintaining patient records.
- Assisting with pre-testing and diagnostic testing.
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails and inquiries from patients.
- Assist with frame selection, fitting and adjustments.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the office, including sanitizing equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Optometry team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient experiences.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of optometry terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Own transportation
