Position:Optometric Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet patients upon their arrival at our office
• Manage patient check-in and the registration process efficiently
• Conduct preliminary tests and measurements such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
• Prepare and organize examination rooms for optometrist use
• Provide necessary instruments and support during eye exams
• Educate patients on the proper insertion, removal, and care of contact lenses
• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses according to optometrist prescriptions
• Handle insurance claims processing and billing inquiries
• Maintain and update patient records with accuracy

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
• Basic understanding of optometry terminology and procedures is beneficial
• Proficiency in computer systems for appointment scheduling and patient records management

We Offer:

• Competitive salary: $16.50 - $22.50 per hour
• Job Types: Part-time and Full-time available
• Expected hours: Up to 40 hours per week
