We are seeking a dedicated and patient-oriented Optometric Assistant/Frame Stylist with experience to join our practice. We are a full-scope optometric clinic offering premium eye care services along with high quality eyewear. It is essential that you share our practice philosophy of caring for our patients, are a team player and enjoy being busy and productive.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer care
- Greeting patients, answering questions, and collecting patient history
- Assist patients with frame and lens selection appropriate for their spectacle prescription as well as considering their aesthetic and performance needs.
- Educating patients about the best eyewear and lens choices for their lifestyle, based on doctor recommendations.
- Taking frame and eye measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear.
- Repairing and adjusting eyewear
- Managing lab orders
- Updating dispensary inventory and displays
- Maintaining cleanliness of dispensary
- Instructing patients on insertion, removal and proper care of contact lenses.
- Answering phones, booking appointments, and other administrative duties
- Invoicing and processing payments
- Other duties as assigned

The Successful Candidate:
- Must have at least 1 year of previous optical or optometric office experience.
- Strong team-work skills and can work well in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Brings energy, enthusiasm and a professional attitude
- Passionate about providing a positive customer experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Detail oriented and able to follow through on tasks consistently and independently
- Knowledge of electronic medical records system
The applicant must also be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while being professional, approachable, and organized with a commitment to quality patient care. Evenings and Saturday shifts are required. Salary will be determined according to the level of optometric assistant experience. Only candidates seeking long-term employment will be considered.
