Canyon School requires a part-time position (.40 FTE Tuesdays & Thursdays) working with preschool age children on site. This position requires a minimum of Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification or willingness to obtain.
Programming goals will be directed by a collaborative team and implemented by the Educational Assistant. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of student-centered programming with a belief that all children can learn. This position will begin January 31, 2024 and end on June 27, 2024.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in speech language support
Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development
Ability to build relationships with children, families and members of the learning team in a flexible environment
Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
Experience with and/or training working with children with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment
Current First Aid certification is an asset
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
