Part-Time Educational Assistant

at Dixonville School

Dixonville is a hamlet in Alberta, within the County of Northern Lights. It is located along the Mackenzie Highway, approximately 43 kilometres north of Grimshaw and 58 kms northwest of Peace River. The school serves students in grades K-9.

One Part-Time (0.64 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant is required commencing April 12, 2024 and continuing until June 27, 2024. The successful candidate will be working with students with a variety of needs.

Qualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.

Experience and/or training working with young children.

Requirements:

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.

Provide an acceptable current Children's Services Intervention Record Check (applicants within Alberta).

Please note, records check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.

Skills:

Ability to work with students with varying needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Experience working in a classroom setting

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$ 20.16 to $ 25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
