Parts Manager

PARTS MANAGER
(High volume domestic vehicle dealership, Northwest, GTA)
Our client, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to join their successful dealership located in Northwest GTA
In this key role, managing a parts team of four, you will lead all aspects of an efficient and profitable Parts Department, employing proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that parts sales targets are met. Coordinate parts of marketing efforts
• Maintain tight inventory control to ensure consistent delivery of parts while minimizing obsolescence.
• Balance inventory to meet the requirements of the Service Department, wholesale accounts and over-the-counter sales.
• Understand and comply with all manufacturers’ warranty ordering and return policies.
• Forecast and track monthly sales and profit objectives. Compile and analyze monthly management reports.
• Responsible for the profitability of the Department by revenue generation and cost control
• Hire, train, motivate, coach and monitor the performance of all Parts Department staff.
• Keep up to date by completing all training within the manufacturer’s prescribed guidelines and ensuring the same for all staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Automotive Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager.
• College Diploma in Inventory Management, Business Management or Trade School Certificate in Automotive Studies, or equivalent related experience.
• Technologically savvy with PC-based software, and strong proficiency in Dealer Management systems. Candidates with CDK experience are preferred but not essential.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to achieve results.
• Able to work as part of a results-oriented and customer-focused team.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, technical & mechanical repairs, product
• Valid Driver’s License
