Payroll, Accounts Payable & Administration Assistant

We are looking for a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) Payroll, Accounts Payable & Administration Assistant to join our team.

Under the direction of the Controller, you will be responsible for aspects of payroll, Accounts Payable, reconciliations and administration as required.

3+ years of experience working in an office environment, and strong attention to detail is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately administer biweekly payroll for approximately 65 employees
• Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances/filings, Accounts Payable, expenses, payroll taxes and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) transactions
• Manage Accounts Payable, driving accuracy and on-time payment of vendor invoices
• Prepare T4s, T4As and Records of Employment
• Special projects as needed, which may span different areas of the business
• Prepare & maintain monthly/quarterly GST and QST returns.
• Reconcile company bank accounts and expenses, including credit cards
• Provide administrative support as necessary

Qualifications, Education, Experience

• 3+ years experience in an office environment with bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities
• Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, or Accounting an asset
• Solid understanding of QuickBooks (desktop) & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
