Scope
We are looking for certified Personal Trainers that love fitness, motivating people and are committed to providing great customer service at recreation facilities across the City. This is an auxiliary position which may include weekends, weekdays, and/or evening shifts. We offer a dynamic work environment and excellent opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities
- • Plan and instruct Personal Training sessions for all levels and abilities. • Ability to motivate and lead individuals and small groups - from beginners to long time training enthusiasts. • Develop and design exercise programs to assist participants in reaching their health and fitness goals. • Stay up to date on fitness trends and changes in the fitness industry. • Knowledge and implementation of industry best practices. • Demonstrate proper form and techniques. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including: the use of clear verbal and non-verbal cues to instruct participants. • Provide a safe and welcoming environment. • Offer adaptations to accommodate specific skill levels and abilities. • Complete basic cleaning as required. • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to scheduling and communicating with clients.
Successful candidates will have:
- • Completed Grade 12, supplemented by 6 months of related experience. • A passion for health and wellness. • A friendly, customer-centric approach to their work. • Emergency First Aid with CPR-A and AED (or higher). • Personal Training Certification or BCAK Registered Kinesiologist and must be currently registered with one of the following recognized organizations:
- • BCPRA • BCAK • CSEP • CFES
Pay Grade: Schedule D
Hourly Rate: $30.57
