Position SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our growing Legal, Governance and Compliance team. As a Legal Assistant you will be an integral part of our high performing Legal, Governance and Compliance team, assisting in the preparation of legal documents and supporting with a range of legal governance matters.
The location of this role will be a hybrid work schedule based in either Vancouver or Toronto.
Key Accountabilities:- Assisting in prepraring and coordinating legal documents to be printed, executed, and couriered/emailed.
- Reporting, maintaining, and electronic filing of contracts and legal documentation.
- Monitoring, maintaining, and filing of corporate entities.
- Supporting the team with governance matters including corporate records, document management, shareholder and board of director related materials and drafting of basic documents.
- Maintaining corporate files and updating organizational charts for corporate entities.
- Conducting minute book maintenance for company records.
- Providing overall administrative support for the Legal, Governance & Compliance Team including monitoring legal invoices and payables, coordinating meetings, monitoring shared email inboxes, calendars and project timelines.
- Actively engaging in ongoing learning and development to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Completion of a Legal Assistant or Administrative Diploma/Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- A high proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail
- The ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and priorities.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality.
- Must be a self-starter demonstrating a high degree of initiative.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.

This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $51,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, we also offer:
