Legal Assistant/Receptionist

We are a busy law firm in Duncan seeking a Legal Assistant/receptionist to join our team. The ideal applicant will have experience in an office or professional environment, a firm understanding of confidentiality and a willingness to learn and work both as a team and independently.

While this is posted as an entry level position, there is room for growth and development within the organization.

Compensation: $20/hr+, based on experience and qualifications

Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday

Location: Duncan, BC

Duties / Tasks

• Reviewing incoming mail and communications
• Receiving, directing and handling incoming calls
• Preparing and processing outgoing mail and documents
• Arranging for courier or other delivery
• Assist lawyer(s) in drafting and formatting correspondence, legal documents and office memorandum
• Assisting with basic corporate procedures
• Other duties as may be reasonably required

Skills / Knowledge

• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft office
• Attention to detail and accurate word processing, spelling, proofreading and editing
• Good time management, organization and multitasking skills
• High level of confidentiality and discretion
