** This position has working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and requires both weekend and weekday availability**

Responsibilities and Duties

• Preparing salads, Sandwiches and other fresh food packaged product for sale
• Prepare ingredients, then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
• Ensure products are stored at correct temperatures and include correct ingredients
• Comply with all applicable food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures and standards established by the company and other regulatory agencies
• Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep the cost within the forecasted range
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared promptly by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
• Set up and clean station according to store protocol
• Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
• Performs any other tasks as required by the Commissary Supervisor
• Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to lift heavy items, ranging from 25 to 40 lbs. and operate equipment, such as meat and cheese slicers, scales, etc.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time and working in a kitchen environment
• Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
• Previous kitchen experience
