Role overview

Reporting to the Head of Procurement – the Procurement Specialist has primary responsibility as a primary point of contact to local stakeholders regarding all direct materials e.g., raw materials and packaging categories, and is responsible for executing tactical procurement tasks related to his/her area of responsibilities. The Procurement Specialist supports the procurement organization to execute the global category strategy and manage local implementation, together with local stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Maximize benefit and drive the local direct savings agenda, while identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities within existing spend areas.
• Lead RFP/RFQ processes, review and analyse competitive quotations and tenders, and support supplier/organization transition as needed.
• Drive excellence in supplier relationships locally through on boarding, supplier changes and change plans, and conducting supplier rating evaluations based on quality performance and improvement areas.
• Conduct supplier meetings/interviews to improve levels of service and/or to develop and establish new sources of supply.

What we’re looking for

• A University Degree in Management or Business
• 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement
• In depth knowledge of supply chain management and purchasing processes
• Strong negotiation skills and a thorough knowledge of contractual terms and conditions
• Excellent strategic planning/thinking and analytical skills
• Strong, proven relationship management skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in beverage alcohol industry is an asset

Salary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
