Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires a Program Facilitator to provide services in its various locations. This is a full-time contract position from April 1st, 2024 to March 31st, 2025 working out of our Picton office location.

Who You Are
As a Program Facilitator, you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding your clients to successful outcomes including obtaining employment opportunities related to apprenticeships, and matching workplace requirements to candidate skills and interests. While networking and marketing our services, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each participant through the program and placement that aligns with their employment goal.
You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you building employer relations, developing training plans, monitoring contracts, working collaboratively across all of our departments, completing data entry, following Ministry guidelines and referring clients to community supports and services.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of the local labour market, particularly in the apprenticeship trades sector and labour legislation, have expertise in mentoring and coaching, experience in managing budgets, demonstrated proficiency in the delivery of services to clients as well as proficiency with a variety of computer applications.
This position requires a candidate who is able to relate well to both individuals seeking employment and employers requiring employees within the construction trades sector. This position will involve both the support of the current employer base and the establishment of new employment opportunities for clients. Knowledge of CaMs would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities include: Assessment of program participants, referrals to other agencies and employers, development of training plans, coaching and mentoring during placement, monitoring and mediation of retention issues, program expenditures as well as public relations.
Skills We are Looking for:
· Excellent communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in the delivery of services to youth and adults
· Expertise in recruitment and placement
· Direct experience in marketing and managing budgets
· Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files
· Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks
· Knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation
· Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, CaMs, Email, Databases)
Qualifications Required:
· University Degree in a related field preferred
· Minimum of two years of marketing/sales experience is preferred
· Valid Driver’s Licence
