We are looking for a Project Analyst. As part of the Project Scheduling team, the Project Analyst supports the project team through the project life cycle, contributing to project planning, scheduling, forecasting, monitoring projects, analyzing data and preparing project documentation and reports.
The Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, Field Execution Planner and Field Services Coordinators to update and maintain schedules and project documentation. Through their knowledge and experience of scheduling tools and project coordination, the Project Analyst role is essential for maintaining quality and control aspects for Project Delivery and Field Services work execution.
Major Responsibilities:
- Proactively partners with Project Scheduling Team, Project Managers, Engineers, Field Execution Planners to perform project analysis and support project schedules from initiation to close out
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules to satisfy deliverables, time restraints and customer expectation; communicate schedule commitments, and resource allocation
- Initiate, anticipate, and monitor project changes, contributing to the analysis and providing support to Project Scheduling team and Project Manager for reporting.
- Identify, initiate, and participate in the development of process improvements that provide additional value to Projects.
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of project scheduling tools and templates, standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports
- Manage the weekly schedule working proactively with the Project Team to identify issues affecting Project timelines
- Proactively partners with Project Managers and other project team members to perform project schedule analysis and support for projects from initiation to close out.
- Performs regular review and analysis of project data including actual and forecast project schedule against baseline. Measures schedule performance and progress against forecasts, contributing to the analysis and explanation of variances
- Initiate, anticipate and monitor project change notices (PCNs) providing analytical support to Project Manager for reporting and applying required changes
Education & Experience Required:
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management with 2 years’ experience or Diploma in Engineering, Business, Construction Management with 4 years of progressive experience related to project management or data analysis
- PMI member - Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset
- Previous project coordination and scheduling related experience required; candidate should be familiar with or be willing to learn key Scheduling principles and associated supporting systems and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in Primavera (P6), Maximo, PowerBI, and SharePoint would be considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of project management, process management, engineering, and construction practices.

Salary: Financial/Business Analyst Level B (Current CUPE 2022 rates)
$75,979.54 - $80,720.82 - $85,462.10 - $90,223.22 - $94,964.51

Location: 141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
