As a growing community Harbour Hill is in search of a fun and energetic individual who will provide opportunities to enrich resident experiences. On a daily basis, the Recreation Aide will provide exercise opportunities, have one-on-one experiences, host large group activities and enhance the well-being of residents. Activities are designed to meet the needs of individual residents using a resident-centered approach.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Senior based setting
- Completion of a University or College Recreation Program ( Or Equivalent) is preferred
- Valid First Aid and CPR is an asset
- Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve is an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Implementing, planning and evaluating individual and group activities in collaboration with the manager
- Preparing and organizing event and activity spaces and materials, as well as clean up
- Lead activities and assist residents during activities
- Work with other departments to meet resident needs
- Provide one-on-one support to residents
- Assist with coordinating volunteers and community resources
- Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
