Program Assistant - Must Have (Recreation / Leisure Studies / Gerontology)

This is a FULL-TIME position

· 8am to 4pm with one 12-8pm shift each week on Thursdays

· Plus every third weekend 8am to 4pm

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

· You MUST have a Current Degree or Diploma in Recreation and Leisure, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology or other related field from a community college or university in order for your application to be considered

• Must have Food Handler’s Certificate

· Preference will be given to individuals who have previous Long Term Care experience

• Experience in Dementia care and Montessori Programs an asset
• RAI/MDS
• Must have a sincere interest in people, the elderly in particular, and possess a genuine sensitivity to their needs
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Good Standing Driving Record to be easily insured
