Recruitment Coordination:
- Manages the day to day recruitment activities to ensure staffing levels are met.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and determines selection criteria.
- Creates and manages new hire requisitions.
- Researches appropriate market rates.
- Conduct candidate screening assessments, books interviews, prepares documents for interviews and ensures all new hire required paperwork is completed.
- Presents offers to qualified candidates if requested by the Hiring Manager.
- Utilizes a variety of sourcing strategies to maintain and nurture pipeline for key positions.
- Communicates regularly with hiring managers regarding active searches and the local talent market.
- Support the workforce planning process and plans special recruiting events(schools) and job fairs.
- Advises managers and leaders in the selection of internal and external candidates in accordance with all internal practices and applicable standards and regulations.
- Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks).
- Plans interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using am an applicant tracking system.
- Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements.
- Lead employer branding initiatives and serve as a “Brand Ambassador” to expand our internal & external footprint.
- Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs and recruitment costs by department.
Stay informed of industry trends, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market for talent.
- Identify opportunities and work to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process and practices with equity, diversity and inclusion in mind.
- Uses networking opportunities such as local community groups or professional associations to identify referrals for qualified candidates.
Update current and design new recruiting procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes)
- Report on recruitment performance by keeping track of recruiting metrics.
- Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners.
Onboarding:
Contact and assist new hires during the onboarding process.
- Create and communicate schedules for new hire meetings.
- Meet with and guide new employees through the onboarding process.
Assist in planning and executing streamlined onboarding and training procedures for all new hires.
Coordinate with managers/designates on all needs related to onboarding
- Generate new hire and training reports as necessary.
Perform related duties and tasks as assigned.
Incumbent will be responsible for all offboarding activities as well.
As this is a new position to Woodview, a review and job evaluation will be completed after 6 months and changes may be made to the role.
This role will be responsible for marketing related to careers within Woodview as well as "stay interviews"
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
HR related education including completion or near completion of a CHRP

- Exhibit the ability to multi-task and operate under severe time constraints and immovable deadlines. Good organization, detail and follow-up skills are required.
Proficient using Microsoft office programs.
Experience wit EdApp is an asset
Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel to different Woodview locations within Brantford, Halton and Hamilton, as well as post-secondary school and various job fairs.
This position will also offer administrative back-up in the Halton location when required and may be asked to join certain committees for administrative guidance and support.
