Oversees patient and Public Engagement activities within the Northern Health Region (NHR). Coordinates the
development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Patient Experience initiatives and practices in the NHR.
Promotes mechanisms that communicate the voice of patients, clients, residents, families, and the public to the
NHR and fosters patient-focused culture. Serves as a liaison between those who are served and those providing
the services. Provides or oversees the support to both parties for improving the quality of care and services.
The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry
Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post–secondary degree in a health-related discipline (combinations of education and experience may be
- Membership with the applicable body in Manitoba and Canadian Association preferred
- Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel the region year round
- Recognized Medical Terminology course an asset
- Knowledge in working with principles of Patient Safety in a health care setting
- Two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience
- Two (2) years’ comprehensive experience related to the position
- Proficient knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio,
- Satisfactory employment record required
