An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to provide services within an inter professional team within the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre (RM HULC) of St. Joseph's Health Care London. RM HULC clinic is a combined Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery ambulatory care unit specializing in the care of patients with disorders and/or injuries of the upper limb with include but are not limited to those due to congenital anomalies, trauma, arthritis and tumors. The successful candidate will work in a supportive learning environment providing patient centered care in the clinic and minor room areas.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Valid CPR certificate
- Demonstrated experience in achieving positive patient outcomes in an ambulatory setting
- Demonstrated advanced skills in hand and upper limb care
- Two years experience within the last five years with orthopaedic and plastic surgery outpatients
- Two years recent experience within the last three with caring for ambulatory patients with hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
- Demonstrated strength in clinical assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-directed and demonstrated initiative
- Demonstrated independent decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Demonstrated patient education skills
- Innovative, creative and willing to participate in team activities
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Two years experience within the last five years in Emergency care, PACU or an ICU setting

- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
