Position Title: Residential Sales Representative
Location: Summerside, PEI
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/annum (inclusive of base salary plus unlimited commission earnings)
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is a crucial team member of the Commercial Fuels Group, responsible for an assigned territory based in Summerside PEI. The Sales Rep will demonstrate industry leading outside sales management skills and responsible for maximizing revenue by creating, managing and implementing best in class sales development activities. This position is focused on new business development acquiring Fuel Residential accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve volume/margin sales targets for Residential Propane and Furnace Oil spending approximately 80% of time on prospecting for new business and 20% managing existing business
- Work closely with Operations and support functions to facilitate solutions for the customer
- Track volumes, number and margins by reviewing sales reports
- Keeps up-to-date and maintains understanding of oil and propane codes, transportation tank regulations, federal and provincial guidelines for tank and petroleum storage and the company safety regulations
- Performs various administrative duties including preparing expense and commission reports
- Willingness to travel with some overnights will be required
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Strong communication skills
- Formal sales training, either on the job or formal courses
- Industry specific knowledge and/or sales experience considered an asset
- Results oriented, good attitude to prospect, communicate and identify opportunities for success
- Experience providing excellent customer service focus crucial
- Flexible, goal-oriented, strong interpersonal, time management and organization skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
