Resort Cook/Assistant Cook

Bow Narrows Camp (www.bow narrows.com) is a beautiful, remote, off-the-road tourist/fishing camp located near Red Lake, ON. Red Lake is close to the border between Ontario and Manitoba, about a 6-hour drive from both Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. Our guests ride our cabin cruiser on a 32km trip across the lake to camp which consists of 9 rental cabins, a lodge with a dining room and kitchen, plus living quarters.

Our family owned fishing camp has been successful for nearly 80 years, offering attentive service while creating a welcoming, home-like atmosphere. Many of our guests have been coming for over 20 years with some over 40!

We are looking for an energetic, people-loving, hands-on Cook/Assistant who possesses the ability to successfully perform a variety of functions in the kitchen. Working as a team member, the successful candidate will need the ability to adapt and multi-task. These qualities are key to the success of our operation!

Due to our remote location, candidates also must be able to exist on limited internet and personal cell phone service. Onsite living quarters and food are supplied.

We have fun doing what we do! Depending on experience and abilities you will be responsible for or assisting with the following from May-September (TBD):

Cook/prepare meals from our proven recipes. Other recipes welcome too!

Maintain and orderly and clean environment.

Adjust quantities based on the number dining room quests.

Maintain on hand inventory and prepare reorders.

Assist as needed cleaning during change over at the end of the week.

Assist in cleaning cabins.

Lift up to 22kg

Participate in operations training

Food handling certification or ability to complete certification.

Salary commensurate with experience and demonstrated abilities +tips.
