Retail Receptionist And Customer Service Professional

Sipkens Nurseries is hiring an organized, professional and friendly Retail Receptionist and Customer Service Professional to work in a fast paced office environment. The right candidate must be efficient, accurate and have excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent (35-42.5 hours/week)

Responsibilities

. Courteous, friendly, people- person who is eager to assist customers

. Warm friendly voice on the phone to assist customers

. Follow phone protocol using phone message book and mailbox system

. Assist with sales calls as needed

· Provide support to customers, employees and managers or direct them to the appropriate staff member or manager as needed.

. Provide support to staff members and managers to maintain an efficient store environment and smooth day to day operations.

· Perform data entry and filing, inventory management and other general retail duties efficiently and accurately

· Review correspondence and direct to proper personnel as needed

· Create, update and maintain schedules for management and employees

· Maintain office and store inventories

Requirements:

· Post-secondary education in office administration preferred

. Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel-solid communication skills

. Strong attention to detail- accurate and strong numeracy skills

. A positive attitude with impeccable interpersonal skills and a love for exceptional Customer Service.

· Customer service experience required. Must have prior receptionist experience.

· Strong time management and organization skills, resourceful

· Clear communication skills, Strong leadership skills

. Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities

· Reliable transportation (Sipkens Nurseries is not on a bus route)

· Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually

As a retail garden centre we require some availability of Saturdays and holidays during the busy seasons.

Working Conditions: Work will primarily be done in an office setting and at a computer. You must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and be capable of sitting/bending/standing/twisting for extended periods of time.
