Avalon Ford is looking to hire a Sales Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of the accounting team, and will be responsible for different aspects of the dealership vehicle Sales Accounting processes.
This position supports the sales department and admin office where it works as part of a team for successful and efficient administrative and accounting work.
The position offers competitive salary, 3 weeks’ vacation, medical and disability benefits, and works a 40 hour week, with overtime pay when necessary.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills:
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of General Ledger and Accounting principles
- Able to self-manage and multi-task
- Have a great attitude and present confidently
- Able to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
- Computer literate
The duties of the role include:
- Assist with and complete commission calculations
- Provide completed payroll reports for processing
- Processing accounting journal entries
- Processing cheque requests and purchase orders
- Submitting claims to Ford Motor Company
- Assist with keeping accounting schedules clean on a monthly basis
- Other associated office and accounting duties
