The training team supports development of Apple’s sales staff and channel partner staff including multi-brand retailers, telecom carriers, mono-brand partners and commercial resellers. As the Training Leader for Canada, you will ensure that both Apple and channel partners' sales staff across Canada possess the skills and knowledge to provide a high-quality shopping experience to Apple customers. You will be leading a team known for the high caliber of their training delivery and for continuing to push the boundaries of ‘how’ we deliver training. We are continuing to innovate with virtual learning in our in-house studio to deliver world class training and content to audiences across Canada.

- 5 - 8 years of proven experience with learning and development, training and/or channel strategy. Direct experience with a retailer would be valued.
- Experience with content production (i.e. storyboarding, script writing, video production, editing and post-production).
- A passion for technology, innovation, and eagerness to champion new tools, ideas and processes.
- An extraordinary communicator able to deliver product and sales messages clearly and concisely.
- Highly skilled at collaborating with senior leaders; able to successfully partner with internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to influence and gain consensus.
- Strong analytical capabilities. Able to assess impact of initiatives and anticipate recommendations to increase effectiveness and impact.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to develop strategic plans to support the business needs.
- Bilingual in English/French an asset.

Description
Lead the training function for Apple Canada with the goal of developing highly knowledgeable, authentic advocates who elevate the experience for Apple customers across the country. Consider all training modalities (in-person, in-store, virtual, etc) with a primary focus on enhancing and maximizing our use of video via our in-house production studio. Lead, support and develop a team of highly capable direct reports responsible for a number of functions including learning strategy, training delivery, and content production. Drive collaboration with sales leadership and Apple internal teams to understand business priorities and recommend appropriate enablement strategies to support attainment of business goals and development of sales teams and channels. Build close relationships with each partner’s training organization to ensure maximum impact with sales staff. This will involve a deep understanding of partner priorities and their approach to learning and development. Leverage our video production studio to create, produce and deliver exceptional virtual training content. Leverage best practices from the industry as well as learnings internally from others regions to ensure we are best-in-class. Pilot and assess new content types and their role in the overall training plan. Constantly measure and evaluate the success of training delivery; modifying as required to increase impact.
