Responsibilities:
- Operate saws and other cutting equipment to cut various wooden materials according to specifications
- Set up and adjust saws for accurate and precise cuts
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine materials needed and cutting dimensions
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience operating saws or similar cutting equipment for wood panels
- Familiar with building custom cabinetry and furniture
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures squares
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the cutting process
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
