Position Overview
In this position you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications. This position involves inspecting materials, components, and final products to identify defects, deviations, or non-compliance with quality requirements.
Qualifications & Education
- CWB Level 2 CSA W178.2 with B31.3.
- Visual Acuity.
- Continuity Weld Experience.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle a multitude of tasks.
- Good computer skills, especially in the use of MS office.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understands Quality Inspection procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Progressive shop inspections, including but not limited to: DIM/orientation checks, weld visual inspections, and inspections of pressure.
- Material receiving, visual inspection.
- Review of third-party procedures as required.
- Ensure welders qualification records comply.
- ITP development. Submit for review and approval.
- Select appropriate WPS’. Submit for review and approval.
- Populate weld and NDE log at onset of project.
- Liaise with NDE contractor on scheduling NDE.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to shop personnel.
Administrative:
- Complete NDE requests.
- Progressively update Weld/NDE log.
- Review and acceptance of MRR. Scanning and filing MTRs.
- Develop and progressively update electronic turnover binder, including but not limited to – MRRs, MTR, cut sheets and NDE reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
