As a Site Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Calgary's real estate landscape.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee Mid to High rise concrete projects with on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver top-tier multi-family concrete condo projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities for mid to high-rise concrete projects, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and resource allocation.
Oversee the implementation of construction plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, taking corrective action as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and project records.
Foster a culture of safety on-site, ensuring all workers adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8-12 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with a focus on mid to high-rise concrete projects within the multi-family residential sector.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education:
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
