JOB SUMMARY
The HR Programs & Planning Branch supports the City in the analysis, development and implementation of key HR programs, services, initiatives and corresponding governance policies. The HR Programs unit focuses on HR programs and services relating to workforce planning, Talent Management, diversity, and outreach and recruitment.
As a subject matter expert developing HR programs, your primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering programs to build our talent pipeline, focusing in areas such as, succession planning, performance management, and workforce planning to drive business outcomes.
- Supporting a shared organizational vision and culture, while accounting for flexibility that can meet unique business client needs.
- Working as a member of a dynamic, creative and collaborative Human Resources team and with cross-functional internal design teams, as required to evolve, develop and implement Talent Management solutions that support the attraction, recruitment, development and retention of a talented and engaged workforce.
- Utilizing innovative and collaborative approaches, data analytics and program evaluation techniques to build Talent Management programs
- Collaborating with HR Business Services staff (Service Hubs), Centres of Expertise and client groups to develop and implement Talent Management programs and processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of 4 year university degree in Commerce, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, with specialization in Organizational Development or Change Management
Minimum of 5 years of related experience working with Human Resources and managing corporate-wide projects with practical experience in designing, implementing and evaluating Talent Management programs, such as workforce planning, succession and performance management.
