Reporting to a senior bargaining unit supervisor or excluded manager, the Resource Specialist - Revenue provides expertise and advice to others. This role has a strong focus on overseeing and providing guidance to the work of other technical staff and contracted resources.

Job Requirements:
• Diploma in natural resource management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a forest professional with the Forest Professionals BC (FPBC). Note: immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to immediately transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction to FPBC within six (6) months of employment. Applicants who are currently in-training may be considered for this position if their RFT/RPF can be obtained within two (2) years of their start date, but at a lower classification. Confirmation of registration/eligibility will be required before an offer of employment can be confirmed.
• Related experience working in natural resource management.
• Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience in cruising, scaling or waste.
Provisos
• Willingness to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
• Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies in difficult terrain.
• May be required to operate field equipment (i.e., quad, snowmobile).

There is one permanent full time opportunity in 100 Mile House.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
