Human Resources Specialist (18 Month Contract)
North Vancouver
Temporary, Full-Time
Hybrid

Are you excited about improving HR practices within a friendly and enthusiastic international team? Do you want to join one of the engineering leaders in creating value for customers, people, and societies worldwide? Then this could be the next step in your career!

Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
To support our North American team, we are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join us on a temporary contract, with the possibility of an extension. You will act as the main contact for questions and actions related to all employee life cycle events for our colleagues across offices in Canada and the USA. With a system and process mindset combined with your aspiration for continuous improvement and collaboration across, you will take ownership of a variety of key processes and projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Act as the first point of contact for employee questions and inquiries on company programs and policies
Coordinate employee experience from onboarding to offboarding
Lead operational components of annual cycle projects in close collaboration with Human Resources Business Partners, such as policy updates, salary benchmarks, reviews, promotions, employee evaluations, etc.
Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders and various "Centres Of Excellence (COE)" Teams at the group level to direct process improvement and optimization efforts
Collaborate with Finance to ensure all pay-related items are current and compliant
Oversee reporting, system administration, and data integrity efforts

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with familiarity and knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
A CPHR designation or in the process of obtaining (preferred)
Great organizational skills and attention to detail combined with comprehensive process management and follow-through
The ability to work effectively in a busy, detail-oriented environment where multiple projects are in motion at all times
Proficiency in computer applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
