Student Information System/Business Analyst

Description: Insignia Software is seeking a meticulous and communicative critical thinker to lead analysis and enhancement of Insignia Student Management System. This opportunity requires a highly self-motivated and organized individual with excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will develop in-depth knowledge of Insignia Student Management System, work closely with the Insignia Team, and liaise with schools all over Canada and the United States. This position can lead a candidate with right qualities to management position in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Designing detailed product enhancement recommendations to improve Insignia Student Management System
• Write recommendations for software changes
• Identifying and troubleshooting technical problems
• Liaising with the Insignia Team, school administrators and IT departments to understand customer workflows to ensure product is meeting customer needs
• Evaluating customer suggestions for enhancements to the product
• Create mock-ups of design and functionality
• Documenting integration with third party vendors
• Performing competitor analyses
• Strong analytical skills
• Competitor Analysis

Qualifications:

• MSc or BSc with distinct honor in Computer science related field
• Must have at least 3-7 years’ experience in product development; candidates with less experience but high academic standing will be considered
• In-depth experience with one or more Student Information systems is an asset
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships across departments and diverse stakeholder groups
• Enthusiasm and a high comfort level with innovation and change related to technology and systems
• Ideal candidate would be very energetic teacher, principle, product manager in a software company
• Experience in managing team is an asset
• Very strong analytical skills
• In depth knowledge of PASI is as asset
• Leadership qualities are an asset

Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
