Role Definition:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Materials Coordinator to join our team in Hamilton. The Logistics & Materials Coordinator will play a crucial role in optimizing Supply Chain operations, ensuring streamlined material flow, accurate inventory management, and efficient coordination across various departments, including production. This role will involve coordinating logistics operations, focusing on inventory management, transportation, and implementing efficient processes to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics principles, with a particular emphasis on ERP knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and generate necessary documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth shipping processes.
- Manage and accurately input receipt information into the ERP system, ensuring proper documentation and verification of received goods.
- Notify relevant stakeholders about the status of shipments, ensuring timely updates and communication.
- Greet and assist visitors, directing them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
- Monitor inventory levels of consumable items and initiate purchasing orders as needed.
- Actively monitor and track the status of shipments to ensure on-time delivery, identifying potential delays or issues and take proactive measures to expedite shipments
- Collaborate with production teams to manage material flow adjustments in the ERP system.
- Assisting in implementing improved processes for optimal inventory management to enhance operational efficiency within the Supply Chain.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to maintain smooth production operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, SAP an asset
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving logistical issues, including expediting processes.
