POSITION: Counsellor/ Crisis Worker– TEMPORARY ON CALL

ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to the Executive Director. Communicates with all members of the staff as required through staff meetings, case meetings, individual meetings and shift change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MINIMUM - Undergraduate Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
2. Ability to perform within a woman- centered organization, which bases its service on a feminist analysis of family violence with a trauma informed approach.
3. Relevant knowledge of and/or experience with local community, social services, health and justice systems.
4. Ability to function well as a part of an effective team both within the residential setting, staff group and the organizational framework
5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to organize and present information comprehensively to individuals and groups.
6. Ability to perform with minimal day to day supervision.
7. Ability to effectively handle crisis situations both in person and by telephone.
SALARY: As per Collective Agreement CG-33
