Job description
Transport meals as well as other transportation and labour related tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
· You must have a reliable vehicle that you are able to use Monday to Friday for meal delivery
· Deliver meal program coolers to pre-arranged depot locations for drop-off to a scheduled volunteer
· Deliver meal program services directly to the personal residences of clients by following a pre-arranged route
· Pick up depot coolers and return to Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) offices on regular basis
· Maintain proper functioning of delivery vehicle, including prefilling vehicle with gasoline before scheduled route ,ensuring vehicle is clean of debris and waste; as well as monitoring and addressing regular vehicle maintenance schedules i.e. oil changes, tire rotations
· Pick up food donations and deliver to agency
· Pick up and deliver additional supplies for the agency as requested
Knowledge and Skills-Specific to Job
· 1+ years of experience transporting goods within the City of Greater Sudbury
· 1+ years of experience in customer service field
· Knowledge of City of Greater Sudbury roads, and ability to use mapping software or read a map
· Certification in First Aid/CPR
· Proof of valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License
· Access to reliable vehicle and ownership of a minimum of $ 1 000 000 liability insurance
· Proof of no offenses on a current Driver’s Abstract
· Proof of no offenses on a current (less than six months) Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Effort and Working Conditions
· Ability to lift 50 lbs of weight with ease
· Ability to operate a vehicle in all weather conditions
· Ability to complete required duties in limited time frame
