PROFILE SUMMARY
Wesgroup is poised for significant growth over the next few years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a Treasury Analyst to join our Accounting team.
The Treasury Analyst will effectively execute the day-to-day treasury functions necessary to meet the organizations financial obligations and strategies and participate in departmental projects and process improvements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cash and Liquidity Management:
  • Prepare daily cash flow projections and manage bank accounts.
  • Monitor daily working capital.
  • Manage loans, including tracking, processing draws, and repayments.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties to manage incoming and outgoing cash flows as required, including bank draws and new financing.
  • Manage operating line balances, credit facilities, loan rollovers, interest payments, covenant reporting, and related tasks.
Financial Transaction Management:
  • Prepare journal entries for loans, re-financings, SWAPs, BAs (Banker's Acceptances), CORRAs, interests incurred and other treasury related transactions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, resolve bank reconciliation-related issues.
  • Review and prepare wire, EFT, virtual cards, and bill payments.
  • Download, review, and analyze daily and monthly bank reports.
  • Settle intercompany payments.
  • Perform monthly holdback account reconciliations.
Banking Relations:
  • Facilitate the bank account opening and closing process.
  • Assist in the periodic review of bank accounts by banks.
  • Liaise with banking contacts on unknown transactions, failed payments, and resolve bank reconciliation-related issues.
  • Manage banking relationships.
Tax and Payroll Management:
  • Assist with tax payments (property tax, GST/HST, income tax, etc.).
  • Assist with the execution of bi-weekly cheque runs and payroll runs.
Other:
  • Continuously search for departmental improvements and efficiencies and assist in process improvements and projects.
  • Effectively collaborate with teams across the organization.
  • Lead treasury meetings.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in treasury, finance, or related field.
  • Currently enrolled in the CPA or CFA Program, an asset.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to draft clear and concise written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with an ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; effectively handle time-sensitive and highly confidential tasks.
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
  • The expected salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
