The Role:
Danby is actively seeking a meticulous and well-organized individual to fill the position of Danby Truck Coordinator within our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating appliance delivery appointments with various companies and residents, overseeing LCL pickups, and ensuring smooth collaboration between our logistics operations and sales team. This position demands flexibility in adapting to changing delivery schedules, proficient management of cubage and truck load space, and proficient communication with all stakeholders involved.
As a Danby Truck Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire logistics process, from gathering sales orders to strategically planning delivery routes based on geographic location and shipment size. This role requires outstanding organizational abilities, a keen eye for detail, and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners.

You Will:
- Manage dynamic schedule for prompt accommodation of changing delivery needs and requests.
- Coordinate and schedule appliance delivery appointments with both parent companies and residential customers.
- Oversee and organize pickups of Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
- Collaborate closely with transportation partners to optimize pickup routes and minimize delays.
- Quickly adapt to changes in delivery schedules, minimizing disruptions and maximizing efficiency.
- Proactively anticipate and address potential issues throughout the delivery process.
- Serve as a liaison between the logistics department and the sales team, aligning delivery schedules with customer commitments.
- Effectively communicate with the sales team to understand any special requests or requirements for each delivery.
- Monitor and optimize the utilization of truck load space for cost-effective and efficient deliveries.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to streamline loading processes and maximize capacity.
- Other warehousing duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong computer proficiency in programs such as, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in shipping/receiving and order picking.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with delivery partners, residents, and internal teams in English both verbally and writing
- Clear conveyance of information and prompt response to changing needs.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a dynamic schedule and coordinate multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Quick adaptability to changes in delivery schedules, customer requests, or unforeseen challenges.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly the sales and warehouse teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to efficiently resolve logistics issues.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
