Visitor Services Coordinator
The Visitor Services Coordinator will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the gift shop and supervisory duties of the front desk team. They will be responsible for ensuring the Visitor Services team provides excellent visitor experience in the museum, as well as assisting with aspects of the museum’s gift shop and public programming.
Description of Tasks:
- Train and supervise front desk ticketing and gift shop staff. Complete sales of admissions.
- Leading facility rentals.
- Gift Shop duties (cashier, inventory counts, ordering and receiving stock, stocking shelves, store organization cleaning, set up displays).
- Facilitate online store set up and sales.
- Create/implement Visitor Services team schedule.
- Interact and greet the visiting public and assist with any questions.
- Promote and complete registration for memberships, parties, education programs, films, lectures, events, workshops, day camps and tours.
- Provide visitor information and accessibility to those who require special assistance.
- Answer and direct phone calls including queries for special event booking, gallery tours and volunteers.
- Complete daily cash reconciliation of till.
- Maintain open communication with all staff and the public.
- Visitor Experience Development in partnership with Education and Paleo teams.
- Other duties as required/assigned.

About the Philip J Curry Dinosaur Museum
The PJCDM is located 2 km outside the Town of Wembley and approximately 33km from the city of Grande Prairie. While the successful candidate is responsible for finding their own accommodation in the Grande Prairie area, the museum can suggest some potential options. The successful candidate must be present, in-person, at the museum during work hours. They must be willing to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate volunteers and special events.

Salary: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
