Duties

Visitor service, revenue collection and daily cleaning/maintenance at campgrounds to enhance the visitor’s experience. This includes but is not limited to greeting visitors and providing orientation, information and direction; confirming reservations; selling of campsites; daily cleaning of campground washroom and other facilities, day use area washrooms/pit privies, campsite cleaning/maintenance, grounds cleaning and litter picking and emptying of trash and recycling receptacles.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willing and able to work shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and travel to various outdoor sites with some exposure to various weather conditions;
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as: lifting heavy items, picking litter, stack, split and deliver firewood, custodial tasks and campsite maintenance;
  • Willing and able to dust, wash walls and windows. Clean washrooms;
  • Willing and able to conduct repetitive tasks;
  • Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stretch and work from ladders or step stools;
  • Willing and able to be exposed to noxious odors from cleaning products and primitive rest facilities;
  • Willing and able to demonstrate tasks to others.

Conditions of employment

  • Obtain and maintain Reliability Status including fingerprints;
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license;
  • Willing and able to wear identifier clothing and personal safety equipment.
